Duninald
One of the earliest grants in the Hunter Valley
to Captain William Dunn in December 1821, the land is on the Paterson
River close to the town of Paterson.
Captain Dunn’s daughter, Francis married
Charles Reynolds in 1844. Duninald was in the hands of the Reynolds
family until 2005, when it was purchased by the Wokes family.
We respect the land and the history of the previous
landholders. We will never be known as having as stud dairy, as
William Dunn was well known, nor will we have the prize winning
cattle and horses of Charles Reynolds however we do have a fine
herd of primarily Hereford cattle (link to the cattle page when
it exists).
Sid Reynolds was a pioneer in the propagation of
Australian native plants with Old Duninald Nursery. Nursery activities
have since been a part of the farm mix and to-day we have Paterson
Fern Nursery..(link to Nursery page
Our aim as primary producers is to supply a quality
product to satisfy your most discerning of customers.
