These are delicately looking ferns which bely their toughness. There are over 200 varieties with their habitat ranging from the Andes to the tropics.
They all prefer humus rich, moist well drained soils & should not be allowed to dry out.
The name comes from the Greek “not wetting” coming from the fronds ability to shed water without becoming wet.
